Good Company Care offers a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients. From companionship and light housekeeping to more specialised care for chronic conditions, including end of life care and support. Daily activities including Medication administration, Physical therapy, dementia support and more are covered. Good company care wants to say “We Do” rather than “We can’t”. We prioritise the use of a familiar setting and collaborative help to make people comfortable and at ease.
How do I choose the right home care provider?
Choosing the right home care provider is a crucial decision. At Good Company Care, we advise examining testimonials, credentials, experience and statement of purpose. We make thorough background checks and ensure training for our staff aiming for the highest standards of care. We invite you to talk to any staff member, front line carer, Administrator right down to the management team. Discuss your needs and desires with us and we will encourage open and honest conversation.
How much does private home care cost?
The cost of home care can vary based on factors such as location, level of care required, frequency of services and days of the week. Good Company Care provides straightforward easy to understand information on costs, payment methods and other expenses to help you make an informed decision. We’re happy to talk through your best options on our first face to face meeting.
Is home care covered by insurance or Medicare?
We can provide detailed information on which home care services are covered by private insurance, along with eligibility requirements and guidance on applying for benefits. Speak to your local adult social care provider, you may be illegible for funding for some or all of the care costs. How are caregivers matched with clients?
In our selection of carers we endeavour to employ open minded people with a keen, enquiring but sensitive nature. The matching process involves a thorough assessment of each client's needs and preferences to ensure compatibility with our caregiver. Selection considers appropriate skills, personality traits and sometimes background. We allow time for you and the care giver to settle and re-assess how things are going. We encourage open channels of communication and are always happy to receive feedback once care is set up and running.
What if my caregiver isn’t a good fit?
Good Company Care has a policy for requesting a different caregiver, including feedback mechanisms to address concerns promptly and find a more suitable match but we are quietly confident that our small but mighty team will have the right person to be there for you.
Can I change or discontinue services if my needs change?
We understand that needs may evolve over time. Our flexible policies allow for adjustments to care plans, schedules or discontinuation of services as needed.
How do you ensure quality care?
We monitor quality care through rigorous oversight, ongoing training and continuous evaluation of our caregivers. We promptly address any concerns or complaints about care quality. We also take on board all the positive feedback in order to incorporate the best of what we do as much as possible. We are also regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), who are the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England. What happens if a caregiver is sick or unavailable?
Good Company Care has comprehensive contingency plans in place to ensure continuity of care, including access to substitute caregivers when needed. We will communicate as promptly as possible if your care giver is unable to attend.
How do you handle emergencies?
We have well-defined protocols for managing medical or other emergencies, including caregiver training in emergency response and clear communication channels with family members.
Are home care services available 24/7?
At present this is not something we offer but we know that for end-of-life care, this may often be a requirement. Under such circumstances we hope to offer round-the-clock care options soon and even now will take inquiries, with a view to provision if possible. Such provision will include overnight services. Good Company Care is committed to providing support whenever it is needed as we know how much your loved ones mean to you. We want to be an extension of that during such a difficult time. As care needs change, we will assess the care requirements and advice accordingly. We aim to maintain continual open conversations with you about the care needs of your loved one.
How is privacy and confidentiality handled?
We prioritise the privacy and confidentiality of our clients' personal and health information, adhering to strict legal and regulatory standards to ensure their data is protected at all times. We are registered with ICO.
