The additional visits initiated by Good Company Care have been met with overwhelming appreciation from Jil and Peter. During one visit, as Anna was about to leave, Jil became visibly upset, pleading, "Please don't go, please stay. I wish you could live here." Such moments reinforce the importance of the bonds formed through our care.

Peter's joy and gratitude were palpable during his time with Anna. Their shared cooking sessions brought a sense of normalcy and companionship that Peter hadn't experienced in years. His playful comment, "Please, can I live with you? It's better when you're here!" underscored the genuine connection formed between our caregivers and a client.

Perfect, Caring Fit.

After my father fell ill in November 2023 we knew that he needed help at home and someone to check in on him. After panicking not knowing what we were going to do, I called a friend of mine who I knew had careers come in for her mother. She recommended Timothy and Anna.

Timothy came over to the house and I knew instantly he was a perfect fit for my father. I was not wrong. They instantly hit it off. Dad looked forward to his visits. Timothy is caring, patient and helped dad out in whatever needs were asked of him.

Unfortunately, my father passed away in March but Timothy has still stayed in contact and helped out when I needed help dispersing some of dads mobility equipment to other patients that would otherwise not be able to afford. I have recommended Good Company Care to others and would 100% recommend in the future.

How Has The Service Impacted the Life of your loved one

In November 2023 our world changed forever. We unexpectedly lost our amazing mum and in the blink of an eye our dads beloved wife of almost 65 years had gone, his heart was broken his world shattered into tiny pieces and the smile gone from his face. As a family, we were trying to fill the huge hole that our mum had left in all our lives and our days and nights were spent caring for our Dad, whilst all trying to come to terms with what had happen so suddenly to our Mum.

We knew that we needed to regain a balance in our lives that would allow us to be there for Dad but also for our own families and the thought of finding a support team which could accommodate all of our specific needs seemed unachievable, until we were introduced to The Good Company Care.

After meeting them for the first time and introducing them to our Dad, we knew we had found the perfect fit for our family.

Through their tireless professionalism and indeed only after a few weeks our Dads smile had returned and we could again hear laughter in the room. The Good Company Care had very quickly learnt to understand our dad and quickly established his trust and respect which was quite remarkable. We could really start to see a light at the end of the tunnel for all of us as they began to bring out the best in our dad, giving him the confidence to start to re build his life, one day at a time.

Any specific story that highlight the quality of care provided

Just seeing our Dad smile again has been the true underlying quality of the care being provided our dedicated care provider Emma has built a relationship with our Dad based on trust and respect, honestly it's like he's known her all his life and can't wait for the next time she visits, he constantly chatting about her which fills our world with comfort and joy.

Anything that makes us different to other care companies

Without doubt the personalised service, firstly understanding our family need around consistency of timing and the continuity of carer attending where it seems most other companies couldn't guarantee us these qualities which were so important to our dad in helping us guide him through his grief.

After each visit Emma will update us on a WhatApp group on how her visit with Dad had been. These messages, from the very beginning were not just filled with factual information about the mechanics of the morning / evening meetings but also contained genuine emotion about interactions she had with Dad which was truly above and beyond our expectations.

Has the service contributed to maintaining independence and dignity

Without a doubt 'yes' our Dad is a very proud and private person, and we could be more delighted with the way in which The Good Company Care have adapted their busy schedules and indeed mixture of clients in supporting our Dad and wider family as we all adjust to our new world without our dearest mum and Dads beloved wife.
